Rose (Rosa) Bachman (Bachmann), a Republican, was elected Washington County (Colorado) Superintendent of Schools in 1912, 1914 and 1916. In the latter campaign she defeated the Democratic candidate, Mary Wolcott. Bachman was elected once more in 1920. She was born in Illinois in 1886 and married to Rudolph Bachmann. They lived in Akron, Colorado.
