Emma L. Hollywood, the Republican nominee, was elected City Treasurer of Mt Vernon, New York in 1919. She beat the Democratic nominee, Captain R.W.J. Flynn by a majority of 1227 votes. She was reelected in 1921, defeating the Democratic candidate, Alberta Logan by a large majority.
