Carter, Alla J.

Alla J. Carter was elected to the School Board of Boscawen, New Hampshire in 1894. She served on the board for many years and was active in making the public schools of the state under the supervision of a superintendent. Carter was active in the local Woman's Christian Temperance Union work, a Sunday School Teacher, and was celebrated in the town history as a "public-spirited woman".
