Stella Green ran for County Superintendent of Schools in Johnson County, Wyoming in 1884. She won the race with just over 48% of the votes cast. Two years later she unsuccessfully ran for Constable of her home town of Dayton. Green was successful in a campaign for County Superintendent of Schools that year.
