Kate L. Donnelly was elected County Superintendent of Instruction for Plumas County, California in 1895. She served for one term, and then was succeeded in the position by her husband M.P. Donnelley who served for one term. Both Donnelley's were teachers. Kate served again as County Superintendent from 1915-1922.
