Mary Conger was elected Clerk for the District Court for Tom Green County, Texas in 1916. She was reelected in 1918. Conger was reelected again in 1920, but then resigned to accept the position of Deputy Clerk for the United States court for the northern district of Texas. Her successor took over for her in January of 1921. Prior to her election as Clerk for the District Court, Conger was a County Clerk stenographer and then Deputy Clerk for the District Court for four years.
