Abbie O. Canfield was the Greenback Party candidate for County Superintendent of Public Schools for Monona County, Iowa in 1882. She came in third in a three-way race. The following year Canfield was nominated by the Greenback Party for the office of State Superintendent of Public Instruction in Iowa. Canfield was unsuccessful in her bid for office.
