Ahlstrom, Mabel

Mabel Ahlstrom was elected County Superintendent of Schools for Burnett County, Wisconsin in 1902. She served in the office until about 1910. Ahlstrom was nominated by the local Republican party. The incumbent of the office ran as an independent and through a court injunction ballots were printed without Ahlstrom's name. She won the race and received 85 per cent of the vote through a write-in campaign.
