Anna Bond, the Republican candidate, was elected County Superintendent of Schools in Ravalli County, Montana in 1894. She ran for a second term in 1896, but was defeated by Kittie Ostermeyer, the Populist candidate. Anna Bond succeeded her father, Joel J. Bond in the office. Joel Bond, a Populist, had been the first County Superintendent when the county was created in 1893.
