Rachel Littler Bodley was elected to the school board for the 29th District of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Bodley served from 1882-1885 and from 1887-1888. Bodley was especially interested in the education of women and was the Dean of the Women's Medical College of Pennsylvania from 1874 to her death in 1888.
