Edith M. Bailey
Edith M. Bailey was the Democratic candidate for County Superintendent of Schools in Pitkin County, Colorado in 1899. She lost that race, but was elected in 1901 and for additional terms in 1903 and 1906. Bailey then moved to Pueblo County where she was a candidate for Superintendent in 1912. She won against her opponent Lillie O. Baker.
