Margaret M. Ross was a Democratic candidate for the state house of representatives from the 29th district of Washington state in 1912. Ross had six children. Two years later she campaigned as the Democratic candidate for state senator from the 19th district. She did not win that race. Before moving to Washinton state Ross had been editor of The Critic a newspaper in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
