Naomi McDonald Phelps
Naomi M. Phelps was the Prohibition nominee for State Auditor of Idaho in 1898. Two years later the party nominated her for the office of County Representative. Phelps was a well-known evangelist and poet in her adopted state of Idaho. She worked on suffrage campaigns and was involved with the Woman's Christain Temperance Union. After her 14-year old son was convicted of a burglary Phelps worked on reforming the juvenile justice system.
