From collection Candidates
Eliza G. O'Keefe, a Democrat, was elected County Superintendent of Public Schools for Franklin County, Washington in 1890. She ran as the Populist candidate two years later, but lost to the Democrat, Marguerite Speck. O'Keefe ran again successfully in 1894 and 1896. She was again in the office sometime between 1898 and 1900, but was probably appointed to fill out someone else's term.
