ELIZABETH MARKER, daughter of John M. Marker, was born in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, in 1871. She came to Webster County, Nebraska, with her parents in 1879. Her father was a farmer, and she was educated in the common and normal schools of Nebraska. She was a member of the Populist party, and served as Superintendent of Public Instruction of Webster County in 1904.
