Marion Mulligan was the Democratic candidate for County Superintendent of Schools in Cook County, Illinois in 1890. Mulligan was a pension agent before being nominated for County Superintendent. She was also one of the nine "Lady Managers" of the World Columbian Exposition. Mulligan did not win her race.
