Lizzie Barnhart was a candidate for County Superintendent of Schools for Neosho County, Kansas in 1888. She did not win the race. Barnhart worked as a school teacher in the county.

Elizabeth Frazier, a Peoples party candidated was elected as County Superintendent of Schools of Neosho, Kansas in 1896. She was ran again in 1898, but lost to the Republican candidate.
