In 1911 Anna H. Harrop was a Democratic and Keystone party candidate for the School Committee in the forty-seventh ward of Philadelphia. She did not win her race. A Quaker, Harrop participated in Friends' temperance efforts. She was also part of the National American Woman Suffrage Association.
