Baker, Josephine

Josephine Baker was elected County School Commissioner in Linn County, Missouri in 1901. She was reelected in 1903. Baker defeated Professor D.A. Randall, who was the incumbent. In addition, Baker was the first woman elected to this office in Linn County.
