In 1911 Cora B. Jeanes was a Republican and Keystone parties candidate for School Visitor for the seventh ward in Philadelphia. Jeanes was a 1896 graduate of Bryn Mawr College. By 1918 she was treasurer of the city's Civic Club. Jeanes supported Bryn Mawr College, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Museum of Art, and won awards for her garden.
