Stella Rosenbaum was a candidate for the School Committee of the fifth ward in Philadelphia in 1908, but did not win.  In 1910 Rosenbaum was a Socialist party candidate for the same office. A year later she was a Democratic and Keystone parties candidate for School Visitor of the ward.  Rosenbaum worked for the College Settlement in  Philadelphia and later founded the Philadelphia Association of Settlements. By 1916 she was appointed as a School Visitor but later that year moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she was the head worker of the Jewish Settlement there.
