Eva M. Hollinger was one of three women candidates to campaign for a seat on the school board of Terre Haute, Indiana in 1909. She did not win. Hollinger was an officer of the local branch of the Eastern Star, the Masonic organization for women. She was later employed as a teacher in the Terre Haute schools.
