In 1904, after a career in teaching, Leora Rustin was elected Box Butte County, Nebraska superintendent of schools. She was active in the Nebraska county superintendents' association. Leora Rustin attended high school and normal school. She married W. G. Rustin who died in 1890 leaving her with two daughters.
