In 1894 Florence L. Conrad was a Prohibition party candidate for School Directior in the twenty-ninth ward school committee in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The following year Conrad ran for the same office from the twenty-eighth ward school committee. She was the principal of the Quaker Horsham Friends School in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
