Pepper, Nellie

Nellie Pepper was elected to be the Uinta County, Wyoming Superintendent of Schools in 1898. During her time in office, the number of schools in her district increased from fifty-nine to sixty-eight. Pepper was elected to a second term in 1900. Prior to her term in office, she had served as the Assistant Enrolling and Engrossing Clerk for the Wyoming State Senate.
