Mrs. R.L. Andrews campaigned to represent the 4th ward of Grand Rapids, Michigan in the 1892 election. She was elected and served on the Board of Education alongside N. Louise Andrus. Mrs. Andrews' successful candidacy led her to replace longtime member Mr. G.W. Thompson.
