Kate B. Saunders from Liberal was elected to the post of County Superintendent of Schools of Seward, Kansas in 1896 and served in that post till at least 1900.
Kate Johnson was elected county treasurer of Norton, Kansas in 1898. She also served as deputy treasurer from 1889, before which she had been employed as a clerk in the treasurer's office. Johnson served in the office as late as 1908.
Edith Barnett from Olathe, was elected County Superintendent of Schools of Johnson, Kansas in 1896 and served till 1898 with another woman, Maud Gavins taking over in 1900.
