Mary A. Richards was elected in 1912 or 1913 to the first of several terms as Tama County, Iowa superintendent of schools. She was still in office in the early 1920s.
In 1910 Rose M. Parker was elected Shelby County, Iowa superintendent of instruction. She served in this office until 1944, apparently elected to two year terms.
Ruth E. Latta was elected County Recorder of Washington County, Iowa in 1912 and was re-elected two years later. Latta had first served as Deputy County Recorder, an appointed position.
