Mary S. Ricker was a Republican party candidate for County Clerk of Allegeny County, New York in the 1918 primary. When she lost that race, she was nominated by the Prohibition party. Ricker may have worked in the offices of the County Clerk before her campaign. There were rumors during the campaign that Ricker was an anti-suffragist, but she denied the charges, stating that she had signed every suffrage petition presented to her.
