Armitage, Nelle

Nelle Armitage was elected as County Treasurer for Goshen County, Wyoming in 1918. Her husband, H. P. Armitage, the Democratic candidate for the office in 1916 was elected, but died after only two months in office. Nelle was appointed to fill out his term, and elected in her own right in 1918. Nelle Armitage continued to run for elected office, and in the 1930s served as a notary public.
