Kate Taylor was the Democratic candidate for County Recorder for Iron County, Utah in 1914. She lost the race to Republican Gwendolyn M. Benson. Taylor ran again for the office in 1916 and was elected for many additional terms. She served as County Recorder until 1935. Taylor had also served on the County Board of Education and as secretary of the board of the local public library.
