Laura G. Jones

Laura G. Jones, also known as Mrs. C. O. Jones, was elected Clerk for the District Court for Lee County, Texas in 1916. She was reelected in 1918 and again in 1920. While already serving her first term in office when her husband died in 1917, his passing may have motivated Jones to continue in the position for two more terms as a source of financial income.
