Hattie Aubin was elected as County Superintendent of Schools for Stevens County, Washington in 1886. She ran for a second term two years later, but lost that race. During her time as Superintendent Aubin reported that she was in favor of compulsory school education. She was often known by her married name of Mrs. G. B. Aubin.
