Lyons, Lettie

Lettie Lyons was the Peoples party candidate for County Superintendent of Schools for Clark County, Washington in 1880. She had declared herself an independent candidate in an August newspaper adverstisement, but the Peoples party convention enthusiastically endorsed her. She lost that race. Six years later Lyons was the Republican candidate for the office, but lost to the Democrat.
