Edith M. Jacobs was the Democratic candidate for the County Recorder of Maricopa County, Arizona in  the general election of1918. Before running for the position, she had served for three terms as deputy recorder. Jacobs ran against Nettie Vaughan Gillmor in the primary election. In 1914 Jacobs was in charge of the women's department of a local newsletter promoting Democratic women candidates.
