Kate McKenzie was the Democratic candidate for County Superintendent of Schools for Custer County, Montana in 1892. She lost to the Republican candidate, Susie E. Light. McKenzie was again the Democratic candidate for the office in 1894, but once more lost to the her Republican opponent. Louisa Cooley.
