Reifenrath, Minnie A.

Minnie A. Reifenrath was elected County Superintendent of Schools in Lewis and Clarke County, Montana, in 1892. She was the Republican party nominee, and ran far ahead of the ticket, winning by over 900 votes against the women nominated by the Democrats and Populist parties. She was the youngest candidate in the race. Reifenrath was re-elected for a second term in the office in 1894.
