Clara A. Corson was the Progressive Union party candidate for City Treasurer of Ouray, Ouray County, Colorado in 1899. She lost to the Citizen and Peoples parties candidate Mary Shank. Corson was the president of the Alpha Federal Union, the first nation-wide union for women workers in all trades. It was organized in 1899 in Ouray. She was also a music teacher in the county. Corson was born in either England or Ireland.
