Della Showalter was the Democratic candidate for County Superintendent of Schools for Morgan County, Colorado in 1910. She lost to the Republican candidate Helen M. Simpson. Showalter was an activist with the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. By 1916 she was the vice-chairwoman of the Morgan County Democratic party.
