Effie M. Harrington was elected County Superintendent of Public Schools for Sawyer County, Wisconsin. She served five terms between 1888 and 1900. Harrington was first elected in the fall of 1888 and served in the office through 1894. Anna E. Guy was elected for the next two terms, but Harrington was elected again in 1898 for two more terms. She served in this office through at least 1904.
