Lillian J. Adams was the Republican Party candidate for City Treasurer in Kansas City, Kansas in 1903. She had been appointed to the office, when her husband, then City Treasurer died in 1902. In the 1903 race Adams faced another woman Democrat Lou Bowling. Two years later, Adams was again the Republican nominee and won against Democrat Anna L. Mapes. In 1891 Adams had become a notary public.
