Grout, Carrie L.

Carrie L. Grout was a Prohibition candidate for University of Illinois Trustee in 1896. The Prohibition Party nominated three women that year for Trustee positions. Grout served as the vice president of the Illinois Woman's Christian Temperance Union. She was also the editor and publisher of The Illinois Watchtower, a temperance newspaper.
