Peabody, Emma C.

Emma C. Peabody was elected Town Clerk for Weston, Windsor County, Vermont in 1884. She was appointed to the position in the previous year to fill the position that her father had held until his death. She continued to be elected until at least 1919.  By 1919 Peabody was both Town Clerk and Town Treasurer. She also served as the town librarian in the 1890s.
