Farrand Foster was elected to the special School Board of Bath, Grafton County, New Hampshire in 1912 and was still serving in 1916. Foster later served as the town Auditor and then Tax Collector.She served as the president of all women's groups at her church, All Souls in Bath.

French, Bertha E.

Bertha E. French was elected to the School Board of Bedford, New Hampshire in 1914 and was still serving in 1916. French served on the School Board in the 1921, and 1928-1929 years as well, and was selected as Clerk of the Board that term. French's husband Ervin also served the town in various capacities, including Town Tresurer.
