Annie Barker was a Labor and Democratic party candidate for County Superintendent of Schools for Marin County, California in 1906. A newspaper article noted that Barker had wide esperience in education and public schools. The newspaper, the Marin County Tocsin endorsed Barker's campaign with "She is a woman of fine, even temperament possessed of splendid judgment. The votfcrs of this county can do nothing 1 better for their best interests than to vote for this candidate."
