Flora Beadle was elected County School Commissioner for Barry County, Michigan about 1896. Beadle was active in educational affairs and published articles in educational journals. She also presented a paper on public education at a conference of the National American Woman Suffrage Association in 1897. At some point after her election she married Albert Renkes a local furntiure merchant.
