Dr. Jessie A. Russell was a Democratic Party, Republican Party, and Prohibition Party candidate for State Assembly from California's sixty-first district in 1918. She did not win the race. Russell was a osteopathic physician and as such worked as an insurance examiner. She was also interested in the health, education, and care of children.
