Mollie Bloom Flagg was a Socialist Party candidate for delegates to the state convention from California's twelfth senatorial district in the primary election of 1916. Although she received only 50 vote Flagg received more votes than all of the other three Socialist candidates combined. Flagg became a dedicated member of California women's clubs.
