Marguerite Ogden
Marguerite was a candidate for Republican Presidential Elector for the California primary lection She was a 1910 graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.  After graduation Ogden was hired as assistant dean of women and department secretary. She then trained as a lawyer and was the first woman in the Alameda County courts.  In 1917 Ogden was elected to the Oakland Board of Education. She married Francis Steele in 1918, but tragically, in December that year she was a victim of the influenza epidemic.
