Anna Dixon was the County Superintendent of Schools for Napa County, California in 1892. She was the first woman county superintendent in the county. Dixon later went on to medical school earning her MD from Stanford and the American Medical School in Vienna. After marriage to Allan Earle Peck, Dixon continued to practice medicine in various locales in California, as well as the Philippines, Guam, and Indonesia. As part of the U.S. Health Service Dr. Peck worked with the Veterans Administration.
